Festival Theme
'Pure Practical'
Sharing Best Practice in Metacognition and Self-Regulation
This year we are leaving the researchers and theorists at home. So no key notes - just short, impactful inputs from school leaders and teachers who develop metacognitive, self-regulating learners every day in their own classrooms across the Thinking School Network.

Why The Festival of Metacognition?

Networking - Practical Workshops - CPD - School Visits
The Festival of Metacognition is unique. It offers those with a passion for developing metacognitive, self-regulating learners the ability to:
Take home classroom strategies from expert practitioners
Share ideas with leaders and teachers from across the Thinking School Network
Visit Thinking Schools in action
Impactful CPD to share across your school / MAT
Conference tickets include full access to supporting materials and selected footage from the event for the next 12 months for you and your whole school - at no additional cost.
2026 Schedule
A rich line-up of inspirational, experienced educators and practioners
WORKSHOPS
Illuminating and practical workshops throughout the day, all with a metacognitive focus and presented by experts in their fields.
