Alastair Weller has been teaching History for 14 years at both selective and non-selective schools in Kent. He is currently Assistant Head teacher for implementation at The Charles Dickens School.

The Charles Dickens School is a non-selective school located in Broadstairs, Kent. Both Kristy and Alastair joined The Charles Dickens School in 2017, when the school was going through significant changes.  Since this time, the school has been on an improvement journey, that has included a drive on whole school culture, including student learning and supporting teachers to use pedagogical strategies and research that supports this. This has resulted in The Charles Dickens School achieving their best performance in both attainment and progress in 2023. The school also achieved national recognition for the improvement in P8 performance between 2019 and 2023.
